Investigative Question or Issue:
Can a research paper prove how my chosen topic is unique to/in
the Adirondacks?
Challenge:
| Select a topic from the provided
list that interests you. Research the topic, taking notes and keeping a
working bibliography. Formulate a thesis statement that answers the question:
How is my topic unique in/to the Adirondacks? Use notes and logical reasoning
to compose a research paper to prove that your thesis is correct. Revise
and edit to perfect your argument.
You must use a minimum of four sources, not all of which you gather
from the Internet.
Please use proper MLA format.
You will be asked to meet process deadlines.
Some class time will be utilized but you should also plan to work outside
of class.

Evidence of process writing (draft, revised copy, editor's copy,
final copy turned in)

5-10 pages typed, 10-12 point font, 1 inch margins (MLA format)
