Investigative Question or Issue: What are the characteristics of an "ideal" outdoor leader?

Challenge:  
In small groups created with the help of your teacher, create on one sheet of poster paper a creative, colorful, and attention getting caricature of an “ideal” outdoor leader. This caricature should depict as many of the characteristics as possible that you believe an outdoor leader should have. Be sure to depict the characteristics in such a way that an observer of your caricature will identify them readily. Be prepared to interpret your poster for the rest of the group.

We will discuss the time parameters for this challenge in class

Quality Standards:

Caricature is depicted on one piece of poster paper

Caricature is completed within agreed time parameters

Caricature contains creative imagery depicting characteristics of an "ideal" outdoor leader

The characteristics of an outdoor leader are readily identifiable

The caricature is colorful and/or dramatic

The caricature is attention getting
